The Photographer
My passion is creating art and since I cant draw or paint I had to find a way of capturing the beauty in the world around me.
It all started when I brought my first camera in early 1984 in a little camera store in Hobart. It was a simple Richo camera but it was just what I needed to capture my adventures on a 4 month overseas trip.
In the 90’s I completed a degree in photography. This experience not only enabled me to hone my skills in photography, but gave me the chance to interact with others who’s passion for capturing the world around them was expressed in a variety of mediums such as painters, jewelry designers and ceramicists.
As the years have gone by I have upgraded and changed my gear but the love for photographing is still the same basic need: find the beauty in the world that it often overlooked and capture just a small sliver.
